This Tradition (capital T to indicate a teaching passed down by Jesus and His disciples) is the completion of the annual tradition of the Passover - the event that saved the Hebrews in the Exodus. Instead of the traditional sacrifice of a slaughtered lamb, Jesus becomes the lamb that is slaughtered to save us. We must never forget His ultimate sacrifice that in turn, gives us eternal life.
